The Senior Director of Operations (SDO) plays a critical role directly influencing the future of JASWIN. This position oversees the organization’s operations, including finance, development, marketing, business processes, student impact, and innovation. The SDO supports and leads the leadership team and reports directly to the President & CEO. Title: Senior Director of Operations
Area: Southwestern Indiana
Reports to: President & CEO
Leads: The leadership team
Status: Full-Time, Salaried
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000

Primary Responsibilities:

The Senior Director of Operations (SDO) plays a critical role directly influencing the future of JASWIN
This position oversees the organization’s operations, including finance, development, marketing, business processes, student impact, and innovation
The SDO supports and leads the leadership team and reports directly to the President & CEO

Faithfully executes the business plan, achieving or exceeding planned P&L objectives
Maintain financial stability and compliance and provides financial oversight and acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Leads, manages, and holds the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments
Integrates all major operating functions of the business
Ensures everyone is rowing together in the same direction
Models the way, always working toward the greater good of the business
Resolves issues effectively — seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out the problems, and solving the problems in a practical and healthy manner
Ensures the leadership team is healthy, functional, and cohesive
Ensures that everyone is truly following, and adhering to, the company’s core processes and operating system with consistency
Demonstrates effective project management skills
Dependably demonstrates a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity
Effectively collaborates with the President and stays on the same page
Maintains a high level of mutual respect with the President
Realizes the unique contributions and ideas that the President has, and possesses an ability to filter and translate those ideas into functional plans for the company
Confirms that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization
Inherently ensures that everyone is in the know
Verifies that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the organization

Qualifications (required)

Lead with a Can-Do Attitude
Proven financial acumen and expertise in financial management and oversight
Experience working closely and collaboratively with Board of Directors
Successful experience leading teams and driving results
Flexible, ethical, and trusted role model
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
Experience and proficiency using customer relationship management (CRM) database technology
Proficient in data analysis and using data to inform decision making and drive results
High energy, persistence, tenacity, and positivity
Stellar interpersonal listening and cross-functional communication skills
Understands how to build a culture of accountability
Ability to demonstrate empathy, emotional intelligence and agility
Ability to say what needs to be said when it needs to be said with love and respect
Ability to be vulnerable and engage in healthy conflict and debate
Professional, resourceful, and enjoys building into others
Excellence and drive to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, prioritization, organization, or time management as evidenced by steady improvement

Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects, while being deadline driven 
Organized, Self-Disciplined, and Self-Motivated 
Minimum five years of experience in business, accounting, or related field including management of people with a successful track record
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, including some moderate lifting and light travel
